For Awesome This piece is awesome! I use it to keep my few Blu-Rays and Other. housewares. Not so great, so if you use it for extensive DVD collection, you may want more DVD case. This is more of a decorative element that can store smaller items. It def. a piece of furniture that stands out and is central to our living room. Rhodes is a fantastic DVD storage system, it took some abuse from my son in 18 months, we've put a padlock on it to keep it off, and he pulls the door every day, several times a day. The only complaint is that it is necessary to store DVD store them in two rows facing each other. Not always see all of our DVDs, but it's not a big problem. Additionally, the upper and lower shelves too short for the DVD to stand up, we had to throw down. Oh, and after the installation, be sure to put together right, we had to disassemble and assemble, because we had changed sides. The characters are not the best but we managed to put together.
