Came in 2 boxes: a 40lb square box full of shelf slats and an 80lb box almost 6 ft long full of the main unit itself, the back paneling and the hardware. Setup took maybe 30 min at the most if you have everything laid out. Note: even though the main unit pieces are labled with letters on the instruction sheet, there are no stickers on the pieces themselves, but you can pretty much identify what goes where and in what direction. And like the other reviewer stated, the shelf is VERY sturdy, and the back board is much stronger since it slides in and is screwed in. Think of the backboards as pretty much wood paneling that you put up on walls. And it does hold a lot of DVDs. I've got 5 rows filled w/ 1/3rd shelf left on the 5th row and a whole row of 3 more shelves to fill. I bought it off of Target's website when the price was $217, instead of $289. And I got free shipping, so I save $60+ right there, so the whole total was $232. And you can't beat that for a good DVD shelf! See all 2 customer reviews...
